This site provides relevant information regarding funding through PennDOT's competitive programs, including the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP).
 
Specifically this site provides the following:
  • If you are a new user, Click Here to create a new account to apply for funding. This link can also be used if you have forgotten your username/password.
  • The Funding Schedules section displays the date each program will be open to receive applications and the date an application for funding will be closed and applications will no longer be accepted. Information about all available competitive grant programs is provided as well as a link to start an application.
  • Once you are signed in the following links will be displayed within the left navigation pane:
    •  The "My Funding Page" links to your own personal page where you can access draft applications and applications that have been successfully submitted.
    • The "Contact Us" link opens a form where you can submit a question or issue regarding the site or application.
  • If you are having an issue with your application, please refer to the link "Troubleshooting Tips" located within the left navigation pane this may initially help you with some common problems other users have encountered.
  • If you are starting an application that will be developed by multiple users or you plan to create multiple applications (consultants, sponsors submitting multiple projects) you should consider creating a generic email and password that can be shared. In this way, your organization can manage all applications together and all collaborators may provide input before the application is submitted.

 ‭(Hidden)‬ Transportation Alternative Program (TAP)

The Transportation Alternatives Program provides funding for programs and projects defined as transportation alternatives, including on- and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility, community improvement activities, environmental mitigation, recreational trail program projects, and safe routes to school projects.  ‭(Hidden)‬ ​Multi-Modal Transportation Funding (MTF)

The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of this commonwealth.  The program is intended to provide financial assistance to municipalities, councils of governments, businesses, economic development organizations, public transportation agencies, rail/freight, and ports in order to improve transportation assets in order to enhance communities, pedestrian safety, and transit revitalization.
